Freedom & Confidence

Sadly, it's a common habit of ours to tie ourselves up in a knot of anxiety when we're stressed, nervous or rushed - or even when we believe we're relaxing in front of the TV. This can lead us to feel we have more limitations than we actually do.

We have more than 600 muscles in the body, and by using Tai Chi, Qigong, and working with both internal and external focus, we identify our personal 'sticking places'.

This kind of practise enables you to drop many of your habitual tensions of body and mind and, by learning to use only what we need, leaves us free to give our whole energy to the job in hand.

'Where the mind goes, the energy follows...'.
This is a saying from the old Tai Chi Classics.

Qigong and Tai Chi exercises use this principle to explore ways in which we can release ourselves from tiring ways of living that are led by our mind and start find more harmonious and nourishing habits of life.

Regular practice reinforces our sense of personal 'space' and by connecting our mind with our body helps us to develop greater confidence and language of the body, which supports us when we face the challenges of everyday life.

“As long as one has three square feet of space, one can take a trip to paradise and stay there to enjoy life for thirty minutes without spending a single cent.”
– Master T.T. Liang ”Tai Chi Chuan for Health and Self Defense”
